The Ugandan government, EXIM Bank of China and the World Bank are constructing five large hydro power dams on the Nile River.

With no well-defined natural barriers to contain the reservoir, thousands of acres of fertile agricultural land will be flooded and 2,000 families will be uprooted from their homes when the Isimba dam is completed in 2018.

In 2014, the Ugandan Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development began offering monetary compensation to families who will lose their land to the Isimba reservoir.

As of March 2018, only a fraction of these families have received the compensation promised them by the government.

My documentary features interviews with families who'll lose their land and homes to the Isimba reservoir.
